After our first stop of the official day 5 of our PCH trip at the Prehistoric Gardens, we drove into the city of Gold Beach, Oregon for our next pitstop.
Our main reason for stopping was to check out Gold Beach Books & Biscuit CoffeeHouse, a massive two story used bookstore right on the PCH.
After browsing books for a while, we headed down the block to Barnacle Bistro, which came highly recommended.
We were also excited that we got to try Arch Rock Brewing. We had planned to stop at the brewery, but unfortunately with the mix of COVID and fires, it was closed when we passed by. They had a great selection of local beers on draft, and everything we tried was great.
The food was INCREDIBLE. We started with the chowder made with local clams, and some delicious bread.
We both decided to go with the tacos, and didn’t quite realize how HUGE they were going to be. They were honestly some of the best seafood tacos I’ve ever had.
Post meal, we hopped back into the car and headed off to our next stop for the day, the Trees of Mystery in California! Be sure to check out the full Pacific Coast Highway itinerary here.
